Introduction: Learn About My Unique Journey
Scholar, Instructor, Tutor & Student

Square One
Hello, My Name is Candyce Frink & Welcome to My Instructional Technology Digital Portfolio!
I currently hold a B.A. in Humanities and World Religions as well as an M.A. in Literature. I am an adjunct Instructor at Hawkeye Community College where I teach College Preparatory Writing and Reading.
I am also a State Certified Tutor.
I am a member of the National Developmental Education Association.
I joined the Instructional Technology Program at UNI to enhance, enrich and expand the adult student learning arena. As a student myself, I have recognized technology's use, it's potential and relevance for academic achievement of developmental students.
UNI's Instructional Technology (IT) Program is a two year Masters course sequence. The program is concerned with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of directions, mandates, or commands involving; designing (including all the phases of activity from needs assessment to evaluation) and then applying various learning theories as applications to the instruction of that specific art or practice of a design.
To this end of a successful integration of technology spliced with an integral learning process my teaching philosophy has been updated and revised several times in an effort to reflect my learning process as a student and then a teacher.
My future plans include continued teaching at the college level but integrating technology into online courses through designing applications for developmental studies.
